19/07/2008Seminar Technical Seminar on Theory of Constraints in Critical Chain Project Management
Venue: Y304, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University This seminar introduces the power of the application of TOC to improve organization performances with example of Critical Chain Project Management Content: Theory of Constraints (TOC) is an overall management philosophy that aims to continually achieve more of the goal of a system. If that system is a for-profit business, then the goal becomes one of making more money, in the present as well as in the future. According to TOC, every organization has one key constraint which limits the systems performance relative to its goal. These constraints can be broadly classified as either an internal constraint or a market constraint. In order to manage the performance of the system, the constraint must be identified and managed correctly. • What to change? • What to change to? • How to cause the change? • What creates the POOGI? Speaker: Ir. Dr. Francis Kua, Executive Director of Constraints Management Center, is an experienced consultant in the application of TOC, Six Sigma, Lean and Corporate Governance to improve enterprise business throughput as well as net profit within a short period and least investment Speaker: Mr. Calvin Cheung, President of FormalWin Consultant Limited. 04/11/2009Seminar Seminar on Light Pollution
Venue: N003, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Organizer: SOEHK Co-organizer: APEMEM, AIIB Supporting Organizations: HKIE-BSD, BSOMES, HKIE – CAI, IFMA HK Chapter, PolyU – IGDS, HKIUS Participant: 180 Fee: Free of Charge (first-come-first-served basis) Application deadline is 31 October 09.
