This was second time for a team of 4 alumni participated in the “Pok Oi Cycle for Millions” charity event on 6 March 2016, which was a grand annual fundraising event held by Pok Oi Hospital. This year, there were also about 6,500 participants. The cycling path was along the Stonecutters Island Bridge then through the South Bay Tunnel, and returned. During the ride, with superb sunray, the stunning harbour scenery and the view of container terminals were alongside the bridge which captured a lot of photos. It was a magnificent experience of warm-hearted exercise.

On 13 February 2016, IGDSAA had organized a Chinese New Year Gathering in our Hon. Advisor Prof. TC Lee 's home to welcome the new year of Monkey. It was a valuable chance for the ExCo and other alumni sat together to have a leisure and cheerful day .

The event was held on 23 December 2015 and 26 students and alumni attended. It was held at a luxurious club house in Lai Chi Kok. Exquisite items including ribs, chicken wings, tiger prawns and lamb chops were served. This BBQ was to celebrate the successful completion of the annual dinner held on 13 December and to thank the helpers for their efforts. It was a valuable opportunity for our participants to network and share their experiences with one another.

The AGM cum our glamourous Annual Dinner was held on 13 December 2015 at Palace Restaurant煌府 in Kowloon Bay. The theme of this year was Consolidation-Elevation-Continuation, carrying the meaning of 鞏固、提升、延續. More than 200 guests, teachers, alumni, students and friends gathered at the grand dining room. Prof. Amanda L. Dowd conducted the opening speech and congratulated the success of the Executive Committee members gaining the “Most Active Alumni Association Award 2014-2015” from HK Polytechnic University. There were 3 performances; Ir Dr Hon LO Wai-kwok (Member of Legislative Council) played the saxophone, students played musical and belly dancing, The show had definitely made the boost to an extremely stimulating atmosphere. The 2 lucky draws, with over 30 prizes valued around $30K, highlighted the event to the pinnacle. Everyone was drowned in the gorgeous ambience, and favorably enjoyed such a blissful evening!

Tong conducted the opening speech and present the distinguish awards to the graduate students and Prof. Amanda Dowd presented the industrial fellow awards to honourable guest and staff.

IGDS Alumni Association organized a hiking event on November 29 to provide an opportunity for members to acquaintance each other. Participants were not limited to alumni from various years of graduation but also current students; some of them are coming from main land China and overseas. Total 19 participants and the hiking started from Wong Tai Sin MTR Station and finished at the entrance of Hung Mui Kuk natural trail. . With the beautiful weather and spectacular scenery along the pass and trail, all members enjoyed the event very much. On the way, some alumni shared their experiences and memories in the IGDS study casually with the current students.

The PMA/Project sharing session was held on 26 September 2015 with over 40 students attended. Three 2015 graduates Apoorv Agarwal, Abraham Wang and Bonnie Lam were invited for presentation. Apoorv and Abraham both gave some intensive guidelines on PMA while Bonnie focused on the preparation of Project. The Q&A section was a treasurable platform for the speakers to share with the students some tips and their practical experience during the study path.
