IGDSAA invited two distinguished alumnus who have achieved an extraordinary business development and would like to share their experiences and strategy. Having learnt the knowledge from the course, they continued to explore their business development in new horizons. Participants were very interesting in their difficulty encountered and overcome during in business development. Hoping that they might get the useful experience be applicable in their works.

Dr. Luk pointed out that land in Hong Kong is not a problem, by adopting basic engineering and technology innovation to address the imbalance between supply & demand in Hong Kong’s housing problems. It would only involve minor policy modification, law amendment and regulation revision that can resolve the housing problem. As a result, Hong Kong people would have enjoyed the cheaper housing price and rental in forthcoming.

It was a cloudy day but would not bar the 32 participants to come and meet at Sai Kung Pier to start our yacht trip. Strong wind and current prevented us from going too far to the outlying beaches, we had to anchor in middle of nowhere to have some shelter from little hills around the sea. Nevertheless the youngsters still have their fun in wakeboard, banana boat and rolling the boat. As always we enjoyed the private cooked lunch on board especially the crab congee. You can see our satisfying faces on disembark.

On 18 March 2018, IGDSAA continued to support the event of “Pok Oi Cycle for Millions” charity which was a grand annual fundraising event held by Pok Oi Hospital. This year, there were also about 6,500 participants to join the event, same as last year. Pok Oi had invited Mr. Ma Wing-shing, Hong Kong comic artist, specially designed a cycling-themed series as part of the promotional campaign for the event. Therefore, you could see the cycle riders were extremely smart and glorious under a shiny weather.

Alumni of IGDSAA joined the Orbis’ annual Walk for Sight held at Tai Tam Country Park, the walk included a choice of 6-kms family strolls and more challenging 10-kms hikes for seasoned walkers. A fun-packed post-event carnival made the day doubly memorable for all.

We had organized the visiting team to Prof. Lee's home for celebration of Chinese New Year on 24 February 2018. Prof. Lee had kindly served us the Chinese traditional cakes and sweet.

Alumni of IGDSAA also visited Prof, H.C.Man’s home where located in Sun Tin village for celebration of the Chinese New Year after visiting Prof. Lee’s home on the same day of 24 February 2018. On that day, they were probably celebrating event of their village residents new borne babies in the past year and holding the traditional Chinese ‘Poon Choi” party. Therefore, ours Alumni had the opportunity to enjoy the delicious foods and warmest festival.

Alumni of IGDSAA were invited to join the Warwick Alumni Hong Kong (WGAHK) Annual dinner held on 9 December 2017 at the Hong Kong Yacht Club Causeway Bay. The event was well-attended by around 120 Warwick alumni and friends. It was a joyful and memorable Christmas evening by the pool. Several of ours alumni luckily awarded the prize from the lucky draw.
